Global Nurse Force Unveils “Global Nurse Force English for Nurses” at Kochi Leadership Conclave Empowering the next generation of nurses through advanced English communication and professional excellence

Denik agaj india 19 may 2025 Kochi, Global Nurse Force (GNF), a pioneering force in nursing workforce solutions, today announced the launch of its bespoke programme, Global Nurse Force English for Nurses, at the Nursing Leadership Conclave hosted at the Kochi Marriott Hotel, adjacent to Lulu International Shopping Mall. This landmark initiative underscores GNF’s commitment to elevating the communication skills and employability of student nurses nationwide.

Recognizing that precise, empathetic communication is integral to patient care, Global Nurse Force English for Nurses is a purpose-built bridge course designed to elevate learners’ proficiency to CEFR B1 level. Tailored specifically for nursing contexts, the programme combines social and professional communication modules—ranging from patient interviews and handover reports to interdepartmental collaboration and documentation—ensuring readiness for both domestic clinical settings and international opportunities.

The programme is delivered through a strategic partnership with Burlington English, leveraging over 40 years of expertise in English language teaching. Burlington English provides GNF with its proven CEFR-aligned curriculum and AI-powered adaptive-learning platform, while Global Nurse Force contributes its deep understanding of clinical workflows and nursing education. This collaboration ensures that every module—from medical terminology workshops to simulated patient-counselling exercises—reflects both linguistic rigor and real-world nursing demands.

The launch event featured a dynamic panel discussion on “Bridging Education, Employability, and Excellence in Nursing,” moderated by Joseph Cherian, Country Head of Global Nurse Force. Panelists included:

Dr. Elizabeth David, Director of Nursing and Organisational Excellence, Rajagiri Hospital, Kochi

Prof. (Dr.) Roy K. George, Director Academics, Baby Memorial College of Nursing, Calicut

Prof. (Dr.) Susan Jose, Principal, KIMS College of Nursing, Trivandrum

Kalpesh Amin, Head of Teaching and Training, Burlington English (special guest)

A follow-up workshop, “Advancing Nursing Employability Through Communication Excellence,” was led by George John, Master Trainer at Burlington English, who demonstrated evidence-based strategies for seamless integration of language skills into nursing curricula.

In his keynote address, Joseph Cherian highlighted the programme’s strategic importance:

In today’s complex healthcare ecosystem, nurses are the linchpin of patient safety and satisfaction. Yet too often, language barriers impede the delivery of timely care. Global Nurse Force English for Nurses fills that gap—empowering student nurses with the clarity, confidence, and cultural competence they need to thrive in any clinical environment. By strengthening English proficiency, we not only enhance patient outcomes but also unlock pathways to premium-wage institutions and global career prospects.”

Recent research indicates that 38.9% of General Nursing and Midwifery students exhibit poor English communication skills, 60.3% average ability, and only 0.7% proficiency—shortcomings that can compromise patient care, academic progression, and international mobility. Global Nurse Force’s new programme directly addresses these deficits through:

CEFR-aligned curriculum covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing

AI-powered adaptive learning tools for personalized practice and feedback

Simulation-based scenarios reflecting real-world nursing interactions

Dedicated modules on medical terminology, report writing, patient counselling, and interprofessional dialogue

By launching Global Nurse Force English for Nurses, GNF reaffirms its mission to bridge the divide between education and employability. The programme represents a new benchmark in communication training for the nursing profession, promising safer, more compassionate, and globally relevant clinical practice.
